Reality, by nature, is fractured - a fact that is strongly reflected in my work. Art has afforded me the opportunity to transcend my personal circumstances and to rediscover my lighter side. It has given me a means of communication. I express my emotions through evocative brush strokes, and now, more recently, through my use of colour. I enjoy painting faces, because expressions reflect the human condition as I see and experience it.
