Katie McKenzie

I am inspired by all aspects of life, especially the colours, shapes, contrasts and emotions that intertwine my outlook on reality. Abstraction and Expressionism are my preferred methods. In my abstract works I focus on the interaction between shapes and colours, enhanced by contrasts and symmetry. My expressionist images rely on fine brush strokes and the relationship between colour and contrast to convey emotion and form.
