Heather Auer

I love painting and sculpting the human figure. I visit the Kalk Bay studio regularly where a group of artists get together to paint. It is always a challenge working from life with a different model every week. I exhibit most of my work at my gallery and also work from my home studio in Glencairn. A large body of my work is displayed at the Heather Auer Art Gallery in Simon's Town. These consist of new bronzes and oil paintings depicting mainly African women and children. Smaller works of nude studies done from life in acrylic paint are also on show currently. You are invited to visit this quaint gallery situated at the Simon's Town Waterfront, which is also stocked with artwork by other well-known South African artists.
