Emile Manefeldt
Artist Statement I am a multimedia artist who draws inspiration from my immediate surroundings, using them as a source of creative energy and meaning. At the heart of my artistic expression is drawing—I see myself primarily as a draftsman, believing that strong draftsmanship is the foundation of any compelling artwork. I’m drawn to simplicity and clarity. Like poetry, I aim to create work that tells a compact yet resonant story. My process often involves working with found objects and discarded materials—things others might overlook or throw away. Through re-use and recycling, I find new value in the overlooked, transforming the mundane into something meaningful. Environmental consciousness is central to my life. I want my work not only to enrich and beautify everyday life, but also to invite reflection on sustainability, waste, and the fragile balance between human activity and the natural world.
