Charlotte Janse van Vuuren

I enjoy working with different materials such as scraperboard, linocut, ballpoint pen, pencil and oil paints, using sometimes even obsessively fine detail and linework. Most of the images come from my personal collection of discarded objects, or from photographs that I have taken or from old family albums. These images are then used in unexpected combinations to give new meaning, and open up a dialogue with the viewer and his/her own memories.
